Areas of Focus
Sara is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works primarily with adult individuals and couples. She has a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA and obtained her undergraduate degrees from Indiana University Bloomington. She has a love for learning that motivates her to stay up-to-date on best practices in the field so that she can provide the best quality care possible for her clients. She believes strongly that everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and thrive and that therapy can be a helpful tool to learn more about ourselves and challenge our assumptions.
Sara approaches therapy from a client-centered and strengths-based framework with the goal of creating a safe, trauma-informed, and collaborative relationship to act as a catalyst for change and growth for her clients. She uses an eclectic approach to therapy that includes positive psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. She is curious and compassionate in the therapy space and prioritizes learning who her clients are as individuals so that she can tailor her approach to their strengths and needs.
In her free time, Sara enjoys spoiling her two cats, watching horror movies, and relaxing by crocheting or having a board game night with friends.
