Kristyn Prockish

Kristyn is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner located in Bend, Oregon. She has experience working in hospital, residential, and outpatient psychiatric settings. Much of her work is with children and adolescents, however, she has the pleasure of providing care to clients of all ages.

In the PMHNP role, Kristyn assesses, diagnoses, and treats conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. Treatment typically consists of a combination of supportive therapy and medication management. Kristyn believes in the importance of creating safe therapeutic relationships and aims to empower her clients by collaborating in the decision-making process.

She views things through a holistic lens and utilizes evidence-based practice to ensure she is providing the highest quality care. She believes in the importance of patient advocacy and reducing stigma around seeking mental health treatment. Her theoretical framework includes concepts such as harm reduction, mindfulness, and trauma informed care.
