There are many unique challenges that college students face in their environments.

College is a unique time in a person’s life. You’re becoming more and more independent, but with that comes a lot of pressure– from your peers, professors, family and society at large. Very quickly, you’re expected to choose a career path, navigate adult relationships and take care of yourself.  As a result, you’re probably balancing a lot of different things at once. Between classes, clubs, social obligations, and work, it can sometimes be difficult to prioritize your mental health.

While it may seem like everyone around you is breezing through college easily, let us assure you, you’re not alone. Many college students go through periods of great stress that can result in issues with academic motivation, anxiety or depression. Over the years at Oregon Counseling, we have seen thousands of college students. Our compassionate therapists will listen without judgement and give you helpful tools to manage your mental health during college. Having extra support through this time can make all the difference. Overall, our goal is to help you manage the stressors you might face during this time in a healthy way, so that you can be the best version of yourself.
