Areas of Focus

Life is often full obstacles that can feel overwhelming at times. Psychotherapy can be a useful tool to help you develop a stronger sense of self, gain clarity, and foster insight into how to improve your current situation.

Whether you are seeking therapy for the first time or continuing on a journey of self-growth, there is no time like the present to expand upon a deeper understanding of yourself.

Finding the right therapist is an essential part of having a positive therapeutic experience. Jacqueline strives to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment with an unconditional positive regard toward her clientele. She will work together with her clients to uncover how therapy can best support them and to create collaborative goals that will strengthen the positive changes they want to see in your life. Therapy works best with consistent attendance and engagement.

Jacqueline works from a strength-based approach and foster the idea of taking ownership of one’s own emotional needs, making the decision to act with intention in order to foster a meaningful and fulfilling life and relationship with others. It is her belief that self-reflection and the pursuit of self-actualization are admirable qualities to nurture.

Jacqueline graduated from Pepperdine University with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with a Marriage & Family Therapy emphasis. Major coursework included diagnosis and treatment of individuals, couples, families, and group work; clinical theories of practice; human development; addiction/recovery models; and law and ethics for mental health professionals.

Jacqueline’s professional background has included providing individual and family therapy at a Los Angeles based community mental health clinic, group therapy for adults at a hospital-based, intensive outpatient program in Southern California, and school-based therapy for children and their families in Monterey County California.

Specialties include identity development, life transitions, parent education, anxiety, depression, and self-care practices.
