Amada believes that fostering an authentic and positive therapeutic relationship is essential for the healing process and for reaching therapeutic goals.

Amada’s training as a generalist psychologist includes working with teenagers, families and adult clients. Services provided included mental health assessments, crisis intervention, individual, group, couple, and family psychotherapy. She enjoys working with adult populations serving and helping in a broad range of psychological concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, aging/elderly concerns, and grief.

Her theoretical approach is humanistic-existential which emphasizes the importance authenticity and collaboration in therapeutic relationship. In this manner, Amada utilizes interventions that are empirically supported, culturally sensitive, and appropriate for each client. Her communication approach is direct, honest, and accepting in which feedback from the client is always welcomed.

In Amada’s free time she enjoys cooking and eating with her family, going to the ocean, listening to music, dancing, gardening, and trying new things in life.
