Allison Michelle Sinclair

Allison has worked in the mental health field for 20+ years. She practices from an attachment, interpersonal neurobiological and trauma informed care lens utilizing a strengths based, client centered and collaborative approach. Her feedback is honest and gentle. Allison believes creating a safe space and integrating the physical body into practice and treatment is critical to healing.

She specializes in the treatment of Trauma, Stress and Anxiety Disorders, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Complex Developmental Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, complex relational family issues and dynamics, though she works with a broad range of issues. Her work is centered around the concept known as plasticity, or the brain’s ability to “rewire” itself and form adaptive, healthy pathways via cognitive, somatic and horizontal (EMDR) processing techniques. Through brain and body work, we can heal.

She is a certified Clinical Trauma Professional specializing in EMDR, Cognitive and Somatic Processing Techniques. She provides a variety of services, including but not limited to mental health assessments and treatment plans, as well as individual and family therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. She is a Trauma Informed Care Trainer through Trauma Informed Oregon and is also an Adjunct Professor at Portland State University in their Social Work Program.

She looks forward to collaborating with you on your journey to health and resilience. Her goal is to create a safe and supportive space for individuals and families to heal, grow, and connect. During her free time, she relish’s in outdoor and family adventures with her beautiful wife and their 2 Golden Retriever brothers, Benjamin and Brooklyn. She also thoroughly enjoys music, particularly singing, she loves, loves, loves to swim, loves to learn and try new things and loves to engage in movement mediation daily.
